Behavioral Interview Online (BIO)
What is it?
The Behavioral Interview Online is a web-based application for collecting interview answers and confirmation of the answers from previous employers, supervisors and personal references. Candidates are presented with a series of behavioral interview and objectively crafted probing questions. The behavioral interview questions are selected from our proprietary library of 160 behavioral interview questions from 80 competencies. The 80 competencies are organized into categories including, Personal, Interpersonal, Coaching, Management, and Leadership. Behavioral Interview Online is configured according to your company's competency and job family requirements during our Job Modeling Analysis process. Behavioral Interview Online can be used as a standalone or in conjunction with other Assessment Methods.
What does it do?
The Behavioral Interview Online examines a candidates past and present performance in similar situations to your jobs. It focuses on past and present performance experiences. Experiences are broken down into three categories including, competency, technical, and achievement related experiences.
During the online process, Behavioral Interview Online collects a statement of results related to one of the experience categories. Next, it probes the candidate with more questions on the specific actions that produced the result previously provided by the candidate. It scans the candidate's answer to the specific actions and provides real-time feedback to the candidate on-line. The real-time feedback enables candidates to re-word their specific action descriptions and make them more focused on past performance experiences.
As an option to the candidate, Behavioral Interview Online can electronically confirm their results. On behalf of the candidate, Behavioral Interview Online sends an email to their past employer, supervisor, or personal reference. The employer, supervisor, or personal references are provided a link to a secure website where they can discretely and comfortably provide confirmation of the candidates claimed performance.
BIO scores candidates in three areas. First, answers are scored based on the candidate's responses to the behavioral interview questions and result probes. Next, Behavioral Interview Online scores the answers based on whether the candidates opted to have their results confirmed. Lastly, scores are updated based on the previous employers, supervisors, or personal references level of confirmation to the claims provided by the candidate's achievements. Scoring is weighted and optimized amongst Behavioral Interview Online various components based on the Job Modeling Analysis process.
